Who I am

I grew up in Naha and spent years working as a deckhand at a local dive shop, learning the Tokashiki ferry route like the back of my hand. I’ve ridden it more times than I can count, watched thousands of first-time visitors discover the Kerama Islands, and picked up strong opinions about which tours are genuinely worth the early alarm and which aren’t. Now I write about my home islands for visitors planning a day on the water.

What this site is

Okinawa Islands Japan is an independent guide, not a tour operator.
